Join Cheri Briscoe for cross country skiing at Havenwoods State Forest, located at 6141 N. Hopkins St. in Milwaukee (just north of Silver Spring & Sherman Blvd) at 10:30 a.m.

We'll plan to ski about an hour in this delightful urban forest/prairie which always seems to have a little more snow than other places, making it a favorite for Cheri. The gentle rolling land is not groomed, but there always seems to be tracks to follow. Participants will learn about the varied history of the land. If we don't see a ground hog, we might see some hawks and other wildlife.
They frequently have weekend educational events going on. If so we may decide to look in on one. We’ll hike if there is no snow.

Afterwords, those who want to will drive over to Mamma Mia's at 26th & Silver Spring for some pizza. Meet at the Havenwoods parking lot.
