Join the Alliance for the Great Lakes, Izaak Walton League, and Sierra Club for a free Panel Discussion.

We will explore the connections among population growth, water supply and demand, environmental protection, reproductive health and rights, and global justice issue. Speakers include Laurie Mazur, editor of a new book published by Island Press, “A Pivotal Moment: Population, Justice and the Environmental Challenge,” staff from participating organizations, and other environmental activists. The event exposes participants to population-environment challenges from a justice lens: the history of the issue, what is at stake and solutions. The discussion aims to generate awareness and mobilize action for renewed U.S. global leadership on human rights, water issues, gender equality and environmental protection.
