Hiking the Ice Age Trail
Part of Sierra Club's Great Water Group monthly Educational Program series.
Fifteen thousand years ago much of North America lay under a huge glacier. Evidence of this glacier in Wisconsin is found in the State’s many lakes, river valleys, rolling hills, and ridges. The nearly 1,200 mile Ice Age National Scenic Trail, established in 1980, traces the glacier’s edge. Jane Stoltz and Kayleen Kauffman will share photos and stories of their treks on this great trail.
You'll also get a chance to meet and talk with local Sierra Club Members and Great Waters Group Leaders.
As always, our local Sierra Club programs are open to anyone (general public included) with an interest in the outdoors or the environment and there is no cost or obligation.
