Part of Sierra Club's Great Water Group monthly Educational Program series.
Tim Vargo, Manager of Research and Citizen Science at the Urban Ecology Center, will delve into the amazing world of birds and how they cope with the incredible metabolic demands of flying. Learn about the evolution of flight, the physics behind true flight, and some of the extreme champions of flight.
You'll also get a chance to meet and talk with local Sierra Club Members and Great Waters Group Leaders.
As always, our local Sierra Club programs are open to anyone (general public included) with an interest in the outdoors or the environment and there is no cost or obligation.
