Sierra Club's GWG Educational Program - Jan 2010

Monday, January 18, 2010 - 7:00pm - 9:00pm

Want to learn more about marine mammals? Marilyn Marx will introduce us to these underwater mammals, particularly the North Atlantic right whale. Marilyn has been studying these whales since 1985. Presently, she continues her work with the Right Whale Research Program at New England Aquarium in Boston. She has been an observer aboard hundreds of vessel surveys for marine mammals including in Iceland, New Zealand, Norway, the Dominican Republic, and Canada. Enjoy Marilyn’s stories and photographs – and become fascinated yourself!

You'll also get a chance to meet and talk with local Sierra Club Members and Great Waters Group Leaders.

As always, our local Sierra Club programs are open to anyone (general public included) with an interest in the outdoors or the environment and there is no cost or obligation.
