Milwaukee Riverkeeper wins $10,000!
Milwaukee Riverkeeper came in second place in the Network/MillerCoors grant contest that pledged $10,000 each to four organizations with the most online votes and will use that money for its Volunteer Water Monitoring program! We are grateful to you for taking the time to vote for Milwaukee Riverkeeper and spread the word to others.
The grant money will go directly to training and equipment for volunteers who are testing water quality in the Milwaukee, Menomonee and Kinnickinnic Rivers. Their work helps to understand the current health of the waterways and to see where improvements need to be made. The program is at the core of what Milwaukee Riverkeeper stands for - keeping an eye on the rivers and working to improve water quality. Thank you so very much for helping us to keep this program going strong!
