Registration for the 2016 Blitz is Open!

The Great Milwaukee Victory Garden BLITZ is the NATION'S LARGEST GARDEN-BUILDING EVENT! Each year over 300 Victory Garden Initiative volunteers install hundreds of raised beds gardens in backyards, front yards, schools, community centers, and places of worship - just about anywhere you can imagine!

It all started with a group of friends in 2009. Together, they installed 35 raised bed gardens in a SINGLE DAY, serendipitously launching Victory Garden Initiative! In 2015, we built 499 gardens in two weeks, bringing our grand total to over 2,500 gardens across Milwaukee and beyond!
