Vote for Concordia Gardens Urban Farm on SeedsofChage.org

Concordia Gardens Urban Farm is 1.5 acres of community garden, urban orchard and production farm in Milwaukee’s Harambee neighborhood. In Wisconsin, 29% of adults are obese, disproportionately affecting low-income populations like Harambee. Harambee is a vibrant, diverse community that struggles with many food security, access and public health issues we work to solve together. At the farm, we partner with neighboring schools and community centers to offer youth gardening education, host a FarmStand led by neighboring youth, cultivate leaders through internships, partner with area food pantries, and grow and eat food together. We break down barriers for our community’s budding leaders and urban farmers, giving resources, space, and encouragement to grow food as a way of life. Your votes will help continue funding the FarmStand, offering 50+ youth per season job skills training, adult mentorship and pocket money, while providing pay-what-you-can produce for the greater community.
