Volunteer Opportunities at Alice’s Garden

Volunteer with Junior Master Gardeners at Brown Street Academy!

Volunteers are needed to assist with the JMG program at Brown Street Academy, located directly south of Alice’s Garden. We are in our third year of programming at Brown Street, where we have also installed a Nature Outdoor Classroom. Eight kindergarten through fifth grade classes are participating in the program this school year, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. As spring REALLY arrives, the garden sessions will increase.

Volunteers are needed to work alongside the children during classroom and garden sessions. Volunteers will work with students one-on-one or in small groups, helping them to focus, understand concepts more clearly, and complete tasks or projects.
