Wisconsin educators have a new go-to resource with the unveiling of the Wisconsin Great Lakes Education Clearinghouse network.

The online Great Lakes clearinghouse adds a new dimension to a statewide website already rich in environmental information for teachers in this state: Environmental Education in Wisconsin, at www.eeinwisconsin.org.

The Journal-Sentinel reported that plans were unveiled for a newly - fashioned park along the Milwaukee River. It relies heavily on existing public land (known as Milwaukee's Central Park) to help make a slice of green space on the city's east side become more user-friendly.

At the Riverkeeper Bash on September 10th, Milwaukee Riverkeeper honored their 2009 River Heroes. River Heroes are individuals and businesses who have made outstanding contributions to our local waterways. We thank them for putting in the extra effort to helping achieve swimmable, fishable rivers.
